The Loons are set to make their return to Allianz Field this weekend, hosting the conference-leading Vancouver Whitecaps in a big-time clash. With both teams coming off narrow one-goal losses on Matchday 17, it’s a chance to reset the tone ahead of a busy second half of the season.

From a popping Sun Country Pre-Party to World Cup recognition, we’ve got all kinds of fun planned. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the Black and Blue’s homecoming.

Before You Leave

• Plan your route to the stadium by reading up on our parking and transit options. Be aware of active construction on Highway 280. 

• Get your parking pass in advance via SeatGeek.com to guarantee your spot and save time at the lots.

• Check out our clear bag policy to make the entry process easy!

• Feel free to bring water bottles into the stadium as long as they are empty, clear, and plastic. 

• Bring your card. Allianz Field is a cashless facility.

Pregame Programming

Sun Country Pre-Party

The Sun Country Pre-Party (formerly Lawn Layover) is back! Starting at 5:00 p.m. on the Great Lawn, we’ve got music, food, giveaways, and all sorts of fun in store, including a live performance by local indie rock band She’s Green.

WWE’s Chad Gable

Starting at 6:30 p.m., catch WWE star Chad Gable on the concourse for a meet and greet and get excited for SummerSlam Minneapolis! 

March to the Match

Ready to get hyped up for the game alongside other loyal Loons? Join the Wonderwall March to the Match by meeting at The Calling loon sculpture an hour before kickoff. From there, you’ll make your way to the Bell Bank SW Entrance and into the stadium to cheer on the team. All fans are encouraged to join the fun, and Sections 21–23 in the Supporters Section will be reserved for those of you in the Wonderwall.

**Specialty Cocktail of the Match

**Fans 21+ can try out our specialty Soccer Breeze cocktail — Wheatley vodka, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice with a fresh pineapple wedge — at the Grand Casino Brew Hall and in our premium spaces.

In-Game Honors

The pregame ceremony will include US and Canada national anthem performances by Ken Lauer and Joe Okell. Chad Gable will perform the coin toss. Christy Graham-Lush will be honored as the Allina Scoreboard Keeper of the Game, and Brad Haugsland will be recognized as our SeatGeek Fan of the Game. Additionally, Millie of Minnesota Bound will be honored as the NutriSource SuperStar. MNUFC will also honor Piper Brutger and Brian Monson as the Target L'Étoile du Nord and Brian Donaldson of the U.S. Navy as the Xcel Energy Eye of the Loon. The Burkstrand family will be recognized as the Red Baron Family of the Game, and Finley’s ambassador Zach Downing will deliver the game ball.

Pop It and Drop It

Collection bins for pop tabs from your canned beverages are available throughout the stadium on the side of trash bins (and outside, if you’d like to bring tabs from home). Thank you for helping us make a difference in our community, as we raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Upper Midwest. 

Reduce Your Waste with BizRecycling and WM

Help Allianz Field limit the amount of waste produced on gamedays by sorting your waste into the BizRecycling and WM organics, recycling, or trash receptacles.

Ecolab Water Stations

As part of a stadium-wide water sustainability effort in partnership with Ecolab, MNUFC has six water bottle refill stations around the concourse sections 9, 15, 21, 25, 30, and 36. Bring in empty, clear plastic bottles to use at the water stations. They're not sensor activated, so make sure to press the button to save the planet and your dignity.
