The award nominations continue for Minnesota United, as Francisco Calvo and Brent Kallman are on the ballot for MLS Defender of the Year. The pair have been mainstays in the MNUFC defense during the 2017 season, stopping the opposition on one end of the pitch and scoring goals on the other.

The award is voted on by the players, technical staffers and select members of the media.
