1. My favorite thing about Minnesota …

“The summer.”

2. One of my pet peeves is …

“This is the only thing that you will see me furious at is when I don’t like something, or if another person is acting like they’re in the right. That, and I become annoyed when someone is disrespecting me.”

3. My daily ritual is …

“Well it’s the same as always; I get up, I pray, I say good morning to my kids and then head out for training.”

4. Something I always have with me when I travel is …

“I have a lot of faith – first and foremost with God – but I always carry around a token of the virgin which we call the Mystical Rose.”

5. My favorite meal is …

“Fish from my island. Also, in English, it’s called ‘bread fruit’ and in Spanish it’s ‘fruta de pan,’ coconut rice and fish that’s called pacific sierra.”

6. I’m currently watching this on TV …

“I still watch Colombian channels and I watch competition shows from Colombia, but I enjoy watching El Chavo del Ocho.”

7. On the significance behind my number …

“I always play with the number nine. Since I was little, I have always liked that number because I saw my dad wearing it. He didn’t play professional soccer, but he was very close and he always played with the number nine and I identify with it.”

8. On the significance behind my goal celebrations …

“Always thanking God. God and my family, but if you see me celebrate, it’s always with my hand pointing up thanking God for the goal.”

9. I’m proud of myself for …

“My kids. Based on who I was before them, I’ve been surprised by my kids. They changed my life.”

10. The best piece of life advice I have ever received …

“I’ve been given so many in my life, but the ones that stay with me are the ones from my parents, but I can’t really think of any one in particular. Probably, to be respectful. That’s one piece of advice I that is in clear in my life that my parents told me. Be respectful and always be humble.”
