Mannone and Gregus Represent in the Team of the Week

Team of the Week Week 29

Minnesota United put up a heroic defensive performance to secure a 0-0 draw on the road against Portland Timbers. For their efforts in keeping the clean sheet, goalkeeper Vito Mannone and midfielder Jan Gregus have earned spots in the MLS Team of the Week for Week 29.

Featuring in the Team of the Week for the fifth time this season, Mannone set a new club record with 11 saves against the Timbers. His quick reactions kept the Loons in the game and earned him his 11th clean sheet of the year as the squad secured a vital road point in the quest for a playoff spot.

Gregus features on the bench this week, last appearing in the Team of the Week back in Week 17. The Slovakia international was the set piece specialist for the Loons and provided some tempting services to create chances for his teammates. He completed 39 passes in the opposing half, including three successful crosses. Defensively, Gregus had a pair of interceptions, a tackle and a clearing header.
