Offseason Roundup: Winter 2018

offseason

After a season with cross country trips and full training schedules, the offseason offers players an opportunity to reconnect with loved ones and get some much-needed rest in anticipation of the campaign ahead, however, everyone does it differently. Some head home to relax with friends and family, others stay busy or take vacations. Here's what some of the MNUFC crew have been up to since the season concluded:

The Poker Circuit: Brent Kallman

Brent Kallman made headlines in late November, earning a place among nine finalist in a World Poker Tour event in Las Vegas. His luck ran dry when the table moved to eight, as Kallman went all in with 9-9 and drew against an opponent with 10-10. His eighth place finish earned a hefty $62,110 prize.

Family & Friends: Calvo, Romario, Boxall & Miguel

Most everyone in the club will take time to return home – whether that's Woodbury, California or New Zealand – to spend time with the people that they're closest to.

  • Miguel: Vacationed at Universal Studios, Hollywood
  • Calvo: Returned Home to Costa Rica
  • Romario: Met With Friends in Ecuador
  • Boxall: Took His Family Home to New Zealand

Volunteering: Miller, Kallman, Toye & Finlay

Work in the community doesn't quit just because the season is done. As the club goes out to help local organizations, so do the MNUFC players – whether they're visiting children in hospitals throughout the Twin Cities or sliding down hills with the athletes of the Special Olympics.

Harvard Business School: Finlay & Cronin

Huge congrats to Ethan Finlay and Sam Cronin on completing the Crossover Into Business program at Harvard Business School.

Just Rocking A Blue Suit: Kevin Molino

Not sure why he threw this garb on in the morning, but we're supportive.
