On Thursday, July 16, Minnesota United and Cub will host a supply drive with Change Starts With Me at Allianz Field to benefit Saint Paul communities, including the Midway neighborhood. Donations will be distributed to the public later this week from the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center in conjunction with the Firefighters United Associated of Saint Paul in honor of the cancelled Rondo Days 2020.
Change Starts With Me is a local nonprofit organization working to rebuild the Minneapolis and Saint Paul communities physically and emotionally by assisting fellow Minnesotans who have been negatively impacted by the recent social, health and economic crises through supply drives and financial aid to restore and rebuild neighborhoods. The organization also works to spread awareness and advocate for equality. Their goal is to listen and better understand racial inequality that exists in Minnesota and beyond, then take action to drive long-term positive change.
Minnesota United, Cub and Change Starts With Me invite fans and community members to Allianz Field from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16 to donate items that will directly benefit these communities. Those interested in making cash donations can donate here. Additionally, Cub will have prepackaged bags available to donate available for pickup at the Midway Cub location.
