Ramirez, Shuttleworth in Team of the Week for Week 29

A dominant performance on Saturday earned Minnesota a 4-1 win over FC Dallas, with several standout performances for the Loons. Two players, forward Christian Ramirez and goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, stood out in the match and earned spots in the Week 29 edition of the MLS Team of the Week.

With a goal and two assists, Ramirez makes his first appearance in the Team of the Week since Week 5. After scoring the opening goal, Ramirez assisted the match-winning strike, popping a looped ball into the path of Miguel Ibarra who volleyed home a Goal of the Week contender just before halftime. The man known as Superman assisted Ethan Finlay in the second half with a first-touch pass that set up a perfectly placed shot toward the far post.

Shuttleworth makes the bench on the Team of the Week for the fourth time this season, his last appearance coming in Week 16. The MNUFC goalkeeper made a match-changing save when he stopped a penalty kick in the second half, his second penalty save in as many matches. He made a total of six saves on the night, bringing his season total to 100, which included a reaction stop on a header in the opening minutes and a kick save in the second half to keep the Loons in front.
