Kieran Chandler, a 20-year-old defender from Simsbury, Connecticut, joined Minnesota United from MNUFC2. Before signing his first-team contract, Chandler made 24 appearances (23 starts) for MNUFC2 in MLS NEXT Pro, contributing six assists and a goal and establishing himself as a consistent presence along the back line. He originally joined the club after being selected 43rd overall by Minnesota United in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft.
His lone goal of the 2025 season came in the final home match of the regular season, securing a 3-1 victory. During the playoff run, he made three appearances and added an assist in the quarterfinals against Real Monarchs, helping Momoh Kamara score the 86th-minute winner to send the Twos through and keep their postseason run alive.
Chandler made his MLS debut on May 14, 2025, against Houston Dynamo FC, playing 65 minutes on a short-term call-up. He also made his first U.S. Open Cup appearance on May 7, 2025, helping Minnesota earn a 1–0 victory over Louisville City FC.
Collegiately with UConn, he started all 18 matches for the Huskies in 2024, providing four assists in nearly 1,400 minutes played. Across his two seasons at UConn, Chandler made a total of 32 starts. At the youth level, he played for FSA FC in Farmington, Connecticut, and spent time in the New England Revolution Academy system.
