Supplemental Slots 21-24Minnesota United signed New England Revolution II forward Jordan Adebayo-Smith to a three-year contract with a club option for 2027. Prior to signing Adebayo-Smith, MNUFC traded $125,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM) to the New England Revolution, and in exchange acquired his Affiliate Priority Player Rights. New England could receive up to $50,000 in additional GAM if certain performance-based conditions are met.
Adebayo-Smith made his Major League Soccer debut with Minnesota United on March 2, 2024, in the final eight minutes of a thrilling 1-1 draw against the Columbus Crew. He appeared in 11 regular-season matches overall for the Loons. Adebayo-Smith also played 19 matches for MNUFC2 across all competitions, scoring five goals and recording three assists. In the 2025 season, Adebayo-Smith went on loan with the USL Championship side Detroit City FC. With Detroit City FC, Adebayo-Smith had 21 appearances across all competitions and provided the team with two assists in a little over 580 minutes. He made his debut on March 15 in the 2-1 win against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. Adebayo-Smith also featured in the Conference Semifinals for Le Rouge, where they tied the match 0-0 but unfortunately lost to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC 4-3 in a penalty shootout.
Adebayo-Smith joined Minnesota United after playing 30 games for New England Revolution II of MLS NEXT Pro during the 2023 campaign, where the 22-year-old forward scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in almost 2,400 minutes.
Prior to his time in New England, Adebayo-Smith featured for the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL Championship, which had loaned the forward to the New York Red Bulls II in 2022. In New York, he logged over 2,400 minutes and netted seven goals while providing three assists across 33 appearances. Adebayo-Smith scored four goals and recorded one assist with the Rowdies in 2021. Eligible to represent the United States, Nigeria, and England at the international level, the East London native developed at East Soccer Base in South East London before joining Lincoln City Football Club in 2018.
