MNUFC’s U16 team is the middle age group in the Academy, and a proving ground for players looking to take the next step. Younger athletes can earn opportunities to play at this level, while successful U16 players can begin to work their way into the higher levels of the club. This is where players really begin to feel the effects of the Pro Player Pathway, having adjusted to competition in MLS NEXT.

Like the U15s, the U16 regular season stretches from August to July, with a mid-season winter break from late November to mid-February. The season includes national travel, with several large tournaments (MLS NEXT Flex Fest, GA Cup, etc.) that require several days worth of travel.
