Biography

Midfielder Jakob Friedman arrived to MNUFC2 on a one-year contract, with a club option for 2027, after having played three seasons collegiately with Monmouth University in New York. From 2023-25, he made 49 game appearances (48 starts), provided 15 assists and scored five goals across over 3,600 minutes played for the Hawks. Friedman’s career high eight assists for a single season in 2025 helped earn him Second Team United Soccer Coaches (USC) Scholar All-American and Second Team All-Coastal Athletic Association honors.

Prior to his collegiate career, Friedman played for his high school team in New York, leading them to a state championship appearance. He also competed with MLS NEXT club Long Island Slammers.
