Alpha Kabia

Biography

Alpha Kabia joined MNUFC2 on a one-year contract, which included a club option for 2026 after he played for the East End Lions of Sierra Leone’s National Premier League while on loan from Young Doctors FC for the entirety of 2024. Kabia was a mainstay for the MNUFC2 defense in 2025, making 23 appearances (20 starts), recording 1,771 minutes on the pitch across all competitions.

Kabia began his playing career with Young Doctors FC, starting at the youth level from 2017-2022. The midfielder was then loaned to Mount Aureol Freetonians SLIFA from 2022-2024 before returning back to Young Doctors FC.

Internationally, Kabia has made game appearances for Sierra Leone’s U20 squad, recently having played a role during the team’s successful Western Africa Football Union (WAFU) Group A Qualifiers tournament run as well as Sierra Leone’s breakthrough performance at the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, reaching the Quarterfinal stage.
