COVID-19 Policies

Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on how we operate our stadium. Throughout that time, the health and safety of every individual walking through our doors has been our top priority, beginning with players and employees as we returned to play last year and now for our guests as we prepare to welcome fans back for 2021. In order to protect our guests’ health, we have implemented additional protective measure that incorporate guidance and mandates from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Our goal, as always, is to provide best-in-class service at Allianz Field.

Purchasing Tickets

Throughout the season, we expect the capacity at our games to fluctuate as state and local health and safety protocols evolve. To accommodate for this ever-changing situation, we will be releasing a limited number of games at a time in packages, followed by the sale of available single games.

Season ticket members will have priority access to securing tickets to games, followed by members of The Preserve, followed by MNUFC Newsletter subscribers. Members of these groups should keep an eye on their inboxes for details on when and how to purchase.

Please note that because seating at Allianz Field will be set up to accommodate social distancing guidelines, capacity will be extremely limited.

We will not be selling tickets out of the ticket office. All purchases should be made online.

Parking

Parking passes will be available online in advance of games. In addition, parking lot attendants will be able to sell fans a parking pass as they enter the lot. These transactions will be cashless ONLY and will require a credit card.

Fans are asked to wear their masks as soon as they leave their vehicle. Health and safety protocols will be posted at the lots to ensure fans are informed before getting to the stadium.

Allianz Field Entry

Gates
All gates will open 60 minutes prior to announced kick-off with the exception of the Element Gate Southeast Entry which will be used for Allianz Field and Minnesota United Staff. ADA options are available to fans if needed.

Health Screening
You must follow all stadium policies, including health and safety policies and posted instructions while in the stadium and on stadium grounds.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By entering the stadium and stadium grounds, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

COVID-19 Health Promise
In order to help mitigate the risk of transmission of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and any resulting disease (together with any mutation, adaptation, or variation thereof, “COVID-19”) and other contagious illnesses, Holder agrees to the following:

  • Stay-at-home: Holder agrees that neither Holder, nor anyone in Holder’s party, will attend any Event if any one or more of the following is true on the day of such Event:
    • Within the 14 days prior to the Event, Holder has (or any person in Holder’s party or with whom Holder has had close contact has) traveled to any state or international territory identified by federal or applicable local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.
    • Within the 48 hours prior to the Event, Holder has (or any person in Holder’s party or with whom Holder has close contact has) experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or Health Canada, as applicable);
    • Within the 14 days prior to the Event, Holder has (or any person in Holder’s party or with whom Holder has had close contact has) tested positive for, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19.

Security Policies
To begin the season, Allianz Field will socially distance the security lanes at each of the stadium entry points. With that, the security screening procedures will remain the same. Bags that adhere to the Clear Bag Policy will be checked by security staff in a contactless manner (i.e., staff will ask the guest to open the bag and move any belongings). Fans will then proceed through the magnetometers before having their digital tickets scanned at the door.

Bag check will be available for $10 per bag at the BinBox Bag Check located outside of the M Health Fairview Northwest Entry. Fans can download Binbox’s free app on iOS or Android in the App Store and on Google Play. The BinBox app allows customers to quickly locate available locker units, pay with a credit card and secure their belongings with Bluetooth technology.

Mask Requirement
Per Major League Soccer and Allianz Field policy, all employees and guests will be required to have and wear a face covering when on stadium grounds, inside and outside. Masks will not be provided by Allianz Field. Employees or guests that do not have a face covering will not be allowed in Allianz Field. Fans will be required to wear protective masks for the duration of their visit, except when eating or drinking while seated in their reserved seats.

Inside Allianz Field

Social Distancing
Social distancing of six feet will be required between all those in attendance. Signage will be placed throughout the stadium to remind fans (e.g. social distancing line queue markers can be placed by entrance, restrooms, elevators, etc., if needed). Traffic patterns will be monitored to prevent and reduce crowding.

Building Cleaning & Disinfection Protocols
Regular deep cleaning and sanitizing practices are implemented throughout Allianz Field. High-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, countertops, barriers, railings, handles are frequently cleaned and disinfected.

Restroom operations
All in-stadium restrooms will be properly spaced out and marked for guests to appropriately navigate.

Hand Sanitizer Location
Hand sanitizing units will be placed throughout the facility including, but not limited to: stadium entry points, concourses, elevator lobbies and various points of sale.

Team Store
The Black and Blue Team stores will have limited capacities that will be posted at the entrance to the store. Capacity will be monitored by Team Store staff at all times. Store staff will wear masks at all times. Registers will have a socially-distanced queue. Cashless payment is required.

Food & Beverage
The food services at Allianz Field will operate under the FDA’s best practices for food handling and preparation. Staff will wear masks at all times. Registers will have a socially-spaced queue line. Cashless payment is required.

Cashless purchasing
For the safety of those attending matches all ticket and in stadium purchases will be conducted in a touchless manner.

On-Field Activities
At this time, on-field activities will not be permitted.

In-Stadium Messaging
Messaging revolving around COVID-19 and best practices to avoid contamination will be posted throughout the stadium as well as being circulated on in-stadium displays.
