Minnesota United returns to MLS play for the first time since June 3 as it travels to take on Colorado Rapids on Saturday. The Loons claimed their first-ever MLS point against the Rapids last year, earning a 2-2 draw at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in March 2017. They will try to get all three points this time around and return to winning ways against a Colorado side that is winless in its past nine matches. The Rapids claimed their first point in that stretch with a 2-2 draw at home versus Chicago Fire on June 3, but they have struggled to keep opponents off the board this year and currently sit bottom of the MLS standings. A win would be a huge boost for Minnesota as it prepares for a busy stretch in early July with six matches in 20 days.
