MNUFC Signs Harrison Heath

Harrison Heath

Minnesota United has signed midfielder Harrison Heath, the son of Loons Head Coach Adrian Heath, during the Half Day Trade Window. MNUFC trades away a natural 4th round pick in 2019 MLS SuperDraft. Heath will count as a Homegrown Player on the MNUFC roster.

Heath, 21, joins MNUFC after playing for fellow expansion side Atlanta United during the 2017 Major League Soccer season, where he made one appearance amid a loan spell with Sacramento Republic FC of the USL. The midfielder spent one month in California, from June 30 to July 31, and featured in a combined three matches, including two in league play.

“Harrison is obviously a player that we are quite familiar with,” said MNUFC sporting director Manny Lagos. “We’re very excited about his continued growth and development. He has three years of professional soccer under his belt and we believe we can provide an environment for him to grow as a professional as well as build into the core of our youth development initiatives.”

The Newcastle-under-Lyme native signed his first professional contract with Orlando City SC during the latter half of the 2014 USL PRO campaign, appearing in six matches –– starting five times –– over the Lions’ first two seasons in the league. He also started on 13 occasions for Orlando City B over 2016, scoring once.
