OUT:

  • M – Bernardo Anor (L Lower Leg)
  • M/D – Thomas de Villardi (L Achilles)
  • M – Sam Cronin (Head)
  • D – Jermaine Taylor (Head)

QUESTIONABLE:

Training Notes

  • The combination of players returning from international duty and their travel being affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma might mean adjustments for Head Coach Adrian Heath headed into the weekend. Defender Michael Boxall, for example, will be recovering from more or less an entire day of travel. Fortunately, defender Brent Kallman is back in full training, giving the Loons more flexibility on the backline.
  • Defender Jermaine Taylor took a ball to the nose in training and will be out with a concussion. He’s recently been an important late-match sub for MNUFC when they’ve moved to a 5-man backline late in matches.
  • Forward Christian Ramirez has been upgraded to questionable for the match against the Union, and if he can go this weekend, it will be his first time on the pitch since Minnesota United’s big win against D.C. United at the end of July.

Gaffer’s Quote

Adrian Heath on this week’s training: “We're really, really pleased with the attitude of the players. Tuesday, we closed it a little bit earlier than we wanted to because it was so good. The lads were getting after it. With the equipment we have now, we can see the amount of distance covered and high intense running, and it was getting to the stage where we thought, that’s enough. Obviously on the back of two really, really good performances, confidence gets better.”

Soccer Tennis

On Thursday, the team had a soccer tennis tournament with the two-man team of Ibson and Collin Martin coming out on top. Check out some video of their championship form below.
