Minnesota United welcomes the San Jose Earthquakes to TCF Bank Stadium for the first time on Saturday evening. Minnesota is fresh off a huge win over the Colorado Rapids, its second consecutive home victory. San Jose is entering the final match of a three-match road trip. So far, the Quakes have drawn and lost and didn’t find the back of the net in either match. They are currently on a six match winless run after claiming all six points in their first two matches of the season. Minnesota’s high-powered attack and seemingly sound defense will have another solid opportunity to get a win in front of its home fans, but will have to break down a San Jose defense that has done a good job of keeping matches close this season.
