As part of the club’s ongoing effort to be on the cutting edge of game presentation, Minnesota United will be implementing the Viz Libero graphics platform during the 2016 season. The platform will be used to enhance pregame and recap analysis videos as well as the live game broadcast.
The Viz Libero system provides realistic 3D virtual enhancements to video, providing a unique perspective for fans as they watch the game. Using this state-of-the-art-technology, United will be able analyze, breakdown, and educate fans on the game of soccer in an engaging and unique way.
“Investing in this kind of technology allows the club to not only stay ahead of broadcasting trends, but also educate fans on this complex game, thus further enhancing their knowledge and enjoyment of the game,” said Brad Baker, Minnesota United’s Senior Director of Video Production.
The system is currently being used by many broadcasting networks, and by clubs around the world as a coaching tool. Minnesota is the only team in the NASL utilizing the system, and is using the system on a laptop, which allows the team’s production crew to use the software on the go, including live games and on preseason trips.

The team has showcased the Viz Libero system during highlight packages already this season, including Buzz Lagos’ weekly analysis feature. It will be showcased on the upcoming pregame analysis hosted by Alan Willey, and in conjunction with the team’s partnership with FOX9 and MY29.
