ACQUIRED: Loaned from Herediano on 8.10.2017

Leiton was loaned to the Loons from Herediano on August 10, 2017 and made his club debut as a second-half substitute in the 1-1 draw with Philadelphia Union.

The winger made a tremendous impact for Herediano in the Campeonato de Verano 2017, helping the squad to its 26th title with his pace, creativity and ability to unbalance opposing defenses. He then made his senior national team debut in the semifinals of the Gold Cup on July 22, coming off the bench for Costa Rica in a 2-0 loss to the United States.

Leiton secured his professional debut with Club Sport Uruguay in 2012. Barring a short stint with Puntarenas in 2015, he remained with the team until signing for Herediano in May 2016. In his first tournament with the club, the Campeonato de Invierno 2016, his side finished second in the regular-season and playoff standings to Deportivo Saprissa.

2017: Made MLS and MNUFC debut as a second-half sub on September 9 vs PHI

INTERNATIONAL: Leiton made his international debut with Costa Rica in the 2017 Gold Cup semifinal as a second-half substitute in a 2-0 loss to the United States.
