Philip Tarnue
Biography
Liberia international defender Philip Tarnue joined MNUFC2 on a one-year loan through December of 2026, with an option to purchase his contract, from Watanga FC. He arrives to Minnesota from his hometown club, Watanga FC, in Monrovia, Liberia, where he’s competed with Watanga since 2023. Prior to that, the young defender played for Margibi Football Club from 2022-23.
Internationally, Tarnue has earned call-ups and caps with Liberia’s senior national team, making eight game appearances across numerous competitions since 2024, including FIFA World Cup 2026 African Qualifying and Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying fixtures.
