Diogo Pacheco

Biography

Diogo Pacheco signed with MNUFC2 in March 2022 ahead of the inaugural MLS NEXT Pro season. With the Loons in 2022, the midfielder scored three goals and provided five assists in his 22 appearances (12 starts). Collegiately, Pacheco earned first-team All-MAC honors at the University of Akron, where he made 52 appearances (28 starts). He tallied seven goals, seven assists, including two game-winners, in 11 of the team’s 18 matches in 2021. In 2021, he was named to TopDrawerSoccer’s Top 100 ranking and Conference Top 20 and was given All-America honors. Prior to playing for Akron, he played for Portuguese side Clube de Futebol Os Belenenses, assisting the team to a second-place finish at the U-19 National Championship in the 2016-2017 season. Prior to playing with CF Os Beleneses, Pacheco was with Sport Lisboa Benfica up until the U-15 level.
