MNUFC2 announced today that the club has loaned forward Logan Dorsey to Rhode Island FC of the USL Championship for the 2026 season. The Loan Agreement includes a right to recall Dorsey.

“Logan’s loan to Rhode Island presents an important opportunity for him to continue accelerating his development in a highly competitive environment,” said MNUFC Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Khaled El-Ahmad. “He has demonstrated strong work ethic, determination, and consistent performance throughout last season and into preseason this year. Given the positive pathway we’ve seen with Morris Duggan at Rhode Island, we believe this is a strong next step in Logan’s progression. His understanding of the game, professionalism, mentality, and commitment to continual improvement position him well to maximize this experience, and we look forward to tracking his growth and impact throughout the season.”

“Going to Rhode Island will be excellent for continuing my development as a player and as a person, and I am excited for this new opportunity,” said forward Logan Dorsey. “Thank you to Minnesota United for the constant support and belief in me.”

Dorsey played a key part in MNUFC2’s historic 2025 season, where he scored 12 goals for the Twos across MLS NEXT Pro regular-season and playoffs action. The forward made 19 regular-season appearances, notching 10 goals and providing four assists in over 1,100 minutes played. He then played in each of MNUFC2’s three playoffs games, scoring twice, including the Loons’ lone goal in the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference Final.
