52’ (0-1) - Timbers2 scored the first goal of the game when Colin Griffith’s long-distance strike was too powerful for MNUFC2 goalkeeper Kayne Rizvanovich to stop, hitting his glove but ultimately finding the back of the net.
56’ - MNUFC2 had a close scoring opportunity stopped when forward Drius Randell’s short pass deeper towards the center of Portland’s six-yard box landed at the feet of fellow forward Marcus Caldeira. Caldeira’s attempt to tap-in a shot was ultimately saved by Timbers2 goalkeeper Samuel Joseph.
60’ (0-2) - The home side doubled their lead at the hour mark. Daniel Cervantes on the right flank took possession closer to the goal, pulling Rizvanovich off his line. Cervantes’ shot got past Rizvanovich to extend the score.
77’ (1-2) - Sam Vigilante scored his first professional goal and helped bring the Twos within one goal. Randell received service into the Timbers’ defending third before he quickly passed the ball into the box, where Vigilante then quickly tapped-in a shot past Joseph.
