Goalkeeper Kristers Bite made a few key saves to keep the match level, while the Loons generated several attacking opportunities throughout the second half but were denied by CITY2 goalkeeper Lucas McPartlin. Despite late pressure from MNUFC2, including chances from Issa Saidi and Marcus Caldeira, the match remained scoreless through the final whistle. 9’ – St. Louis CITY2 created the first dangerous opportunity of the match when Riley Lynch carried the ball into the penalty area and fired an attempt, but goalkeeper Kristers Bite dove to his right to make the save and concede a corner kick.
20’ – After a corner kick from the left, Philip Tarnue got on the end of a header, but St. Louis CITY2 goalkeeper Lucas McPartlin was there to collect the attempt.
52’ – Near the 15-yard line, CITY2 conceded a free kick. Christopher Pearson stepped up to take it, but his attempt sailed just over the crossbar.
57’ – After a quick sequence between Kenyel Michel and Marcus Caldeira, the ball found Darius Randell inside the penalty area, but his right-footed attempt was easily collected by McPartlin.
75’ – CITY2 continued to threaten, this time through Palmer Ault, whose effort came after a deflection near the top of the six-yard box, but his attempt went wide of the right post.
89’ – After winning possession in the middle third, Caldeira carried the ball into the attacking third and played a square pass to Issa Saidi on the right side. Saidi drove into the penalty area, but McPartlin came off his line, and Saidi’s attempt was lifted over the crossbar.
90’ + 5’ – After Darius Randell was fouled in the middle third, he quickly played a long ball forward to Caldeira in the attacking third. Caldeira carried the ball to the top of the 18-yard box and got a shot off, but the attempt was blocked and then collected by Lucas McPartlin.
