Game Central
It’s rematch season for the Twos, and they’ve been taking full advantage, doubling down on victories against Sporting Kansas City II and pulling the extra point in a Houston shootout. Now they host Tacoma Defiance, who they drew 1-1 in May, in the last of a three-game home streak. As the Loons sit just above the playoff line, ahead of Whitecaps FC 2 by only one point with Tacoma close behind, game 21 presents an opportunity for a crucial three points that could bump Minnesota up multiple slots in the Western table — or conversely, see them fall back out of playoff position.
Despite their defensive deficiencies, Tacoma is a high-scoring machine, ranked third in the league at 49 goals scored with striker Yu Tsukanome (12 goals) at the forefront. But Minnesota has continued to prove their strengths up and down the pitch, as evidenced by Luke Hille’s 10th goal of the season, Momoh Kamara’s brace, and a stellar performance in goal by Kayne Rizvanovich in their recent comeback victory over SKC. Read on for everything you need to know to cheer the Twos on this Friday.

Matchday Info
For the Longtime Fans
As part of the Heritage Weekend festivities that will continue at Allianz Field on Saturday, a handful of players from Minnesota teams past will be in attendance at the MNUFC2 game on Friday. Keep an eye out for Gerard Lagos, John Swallen, Alan Merrick, Brian Kallman, Justin Davis, Joe Warren, Djorn Buchholz, Manny Lagos, and Aaron Paye (player appearances subject to change). While there won’t be any special programming, per se, fans are encouraged to stop by and chat with these alumni. Heck, you could even invite them to your tailgate; they’d be happy to steal your food and reminisce about the good ol’ days.
Parking
Free parking at the National Sports Center will be available in Lots F and G and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tailgating
Tailgating is always welcome at NSC! While we recommend Lot F for any pre-match fellowship, there is no designated area to stick to. We simply ask that fans who plan to take advantage of this opportunity abide by the following restrictions:
- No glass
- No charcoal
- No feeding any wildlife
- Trash and recycling must be properly disposed of
- Alcohol consumption is permitted in the parking lots, as long as it remains within Lot F
Gates
Fans should plan to enter the NSC Stadium via the Northwest Gate. There will only be one entry gate available on game day, opening one hour prior to kickoff.
Ticketing
Tickets are online purchase only. If you don't have tickets ahead of gametime, there will be QR codes posted on signs by the gates of NSC for you to use to purchase your tickets.
Security Screening and Bag Policy
Standard MNUFC screening procedures will be in place for MNUFC2 games at the National Sports Center. Each guest will be subject to walk through a magnetometer, and guests with bags will be asked to open their bags for a brief search. The clear-bag policy will not be enforced at the National Sports Center Stadium. All bags that are 12” x 6” x 12” or smaller will be allowed into the stadium. Guests with diaper bags or medical bags will have their bags checked and then tagged, but will not have size restrictions. There will not be a bag check service available. Any guests with non-admissible bags will be asked to return their bags to their car.
Food and Beverage
Grab-and-go concession items will be available for purchase inside the stadium, including chips and peanuts. There will also be beer, soda and water available to pair with your snacks. Bringing food and/or beverages from outside the stadium is prohibited.
Cashless Purchasing
All ticket and in-stadium purchases will be conducted in a touchless manner.
Autograph Alley
MNUFC2 players will be signing autographs on their way back to the locker room after the match. Fans who want to score some signatures should meet behind sections 3 and 4 of the seating bowl, where they will be guided down to the autograph area by event staff. Fans of all ages are invited to participate.
Postgame PKs
Once the players have cleared the field after Autograph Alley, fans between the ages of 3 and 15 will have the chance to take a PK on the very same turf that the team plays on. After signing a waiver, participants gathered behind sections 3 and 4 of the seating bowl will be guided down to the field by event staff.
