With the opening of Allianz Field, Minnesota United’s physical footprint grew. The team is striving to make its environmental impact minimal through programs focused on sustainability and will work with local organizations to ensure a sustainable future as well.
Sustainability at Allianz Field
Home to Minnesota United, Allianz Field was designed with sustainability in mind. From its lightweight PTFE skin which glows MNUFC blue at night through energy-efficient LEDs to the landscape irrigation system which upcycles storm water, Allianz Field exemplifies modern green-building practices.

Allianz Field Hosts Blood Drive
As a part of a multi-year partnership focused on teamwork and the greater health of the community, MNUFC and Allina Health are coming together to support the urgent need for blood in our communities.
Northern Lights for Frontline Workers
The LED lights installed in the PTFE screen wrapped around Allianz Field allow for a broad palette of colors, but typically, the building is lit in a subdued hue of blue, connecting the stadium to the calm flickering of light across a lake’s surface.
Broadcasters Launch "Feed the Cities"
Local broadcasters from Minnesota United to the Lynx launched Feed the Cities - Voices of Minnesota Sports. Proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Club, Second Harvest Heartland and the United Way COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund. Feed the Cities - Voices of Minnesota Sports is scheduled to end April 30.
MNUFC & Michelob Golden Light "Thank You"
On National Nurses Day, Minnesota United and Michelob Golden Light teamed up to say “Thank You MN” to healthcare workers in the Twin Cities by providing lunches to M Health Fairview clinics throughout the month of May.
MNUFC + Allina Health May Blood Drive
With the success of the first blood drive held in April, MNUFC and Allina Health worked with the American Red Cross to support the continuing urgent need for blood in our communities and will increase the capacity for donors to 117 per day.

Minnesota Lottery Park Clean Up
Minnesota Lottery and MNUFC hosted a park clean up event at Saint Paul's Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary and Como Park.
