With the opening of Allianz Field, Minnesota United’s physical footprint grew. The team is striving to make its environmental impact minimal through programs focused on sustainability and will work with local organizations to ensure a sustainable future as well.

Sustainability at Allianz Field

Home to Minnesota United, Allianz Field was designed with sustainability in mind. From its lightweight PTFE skin which glows MNUFC blue at night through energy-efficient LEDs to the landscape irrigation system which upcycles storm water, Allianz Field exemplifies modern green-building practices.

Midway Food Options

Allianz Field is the new kid on the block when it comes to Midway, but the area around Snelling and University Avenues and the surrounding neighborhoods have a rich history and a diverse population with many local businesses to support.

Allianz Field Hosts Blood Drive

As a part of a multi-year partnership focused on teamwork and the greater health of the community, MNUFC and Allina Health are coming together to support the urgent need for blood in our communities.

Northern Lights for Frontline Workers

The LED lights installed in the PTFE screen wrapped around Allianz Field allow for a broad palette of colors, but typically, the building is lit in a subdued hue of blue, connecting the stadium to the calm flickering of light across a lake’s surface.

Broadcasters Launch "Feed the Cities"

Local broadcasters from Minnesota United to the Lynx launched Feed the Cities - Voices of Minnesota Sports. Proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Club, Second Harvest Heartland and the United Way COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund. Feed the Cities - Voices of Minnesota Sports is scheduled to end April 30.

MNUFC & Michelob Golden Light "Thank You"

On National Nurses Day, Minnesota United and Michelob Golden Light teamed up to say “Thank You MN” to healthcare workers in the Twin Cities by providing lunches to M Health Fairview clinics throughout the month of May.
