Beginning with the game itself, Minnesota United seeks to connect communities through initiatives including mini-pitches and clinics in order to cultivate the sport in the Twin Cities and surrounding communities.
Soccer Night Out – Feb. 25, 2020
MNUFC and Blue Cross and Blue Shield host the first Soccer Night Out event of 2020 with music, player appearances, PK visits, games and more throughout the event, with a youth soccer clinic run by MNUFC Camps coaches at the National Sports Center in Blaine.
The doors open at 9:00 a.m. and the main attractions are the 3rd Annual Surly Boot Soccer tournament from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the launch of the new 2020 kit in the Black & Blue Team Store, including appearances by players and PK throughout the day.

Minnesota United, Saint Paul Parks & Recreation Department, Target and the U.S. Soccer Foundation together unveiled a new mini-pitch at Hamline Park on Friday. Just blocks from Allianz Field, the new mini-pitch will be an accessible place for local community members to play soccer, while also supporting local youth soccer programming and encouraging free play.
